OPJUPITER (syllabic abbreviation derived from Operation Lightning Jupiter; 10 November 2021 - 5 December 2021) was a series of covert projects actively conducted by the Vindex Intelligence Agency (VIA) aimed at surveilling and infiltrating Vinish terrorist organizations. VIA records show OPJUPITER resources targeted groups and individuals the VIA deemed subversive, including MOCEO, Appassionato, and other terrorists and violent organized criminals. VIA Director Phillip Zachary issued directives governing OPJUPITER, ordering VIA agents to "neutralize" the activities of the leaders of these movements.

History

Centralized operations under OPJUPITER officially began in November 2021 with a program originally designed to be completed in seven days. Tactics included false flag operations, honeypot, and the use of dead drop to routinely transmit secured messages with informants. After the decline of Hydra and growing membership in Appassionato, Zachary pressured the Directorate of Home Affairs to focus on (Orkey_) and (MarkHannah).

Intended effects

The intended effect of the VIA's OPJUPITER was to "expose, disrupt, misdirect, or otherwise neutralize" groups that the VIA officials believed were "subversive" by instructing VIA field operatives to:

  1. Identify threats to commit a potential violation of the National Security Act.
  2. Determine the seriousness of the threat.
  3. Identify several candidates that can successfully infiltrate the organization.
  4. Build and develop the cover for the infiltrator candidates.
