October 2020 Presidential Election

The October 2020 Presidential Election was set to take place from October 7th 2020 to October 10th 2020, before being cancelled by dragon_12dk on 21st September 2020 to instate a permanent president. The main two candidates that would have ran in the election were Matthew Cyrus, along with Vice-President Thomas Canes, and Michael Avery, along with his Vice-President Albert Viktor(?).

At the time of the announcement, Matthew Cyrus had recently entered the Office of the President due to the resignation of President Joshua Ryan a few days prior. Cyrus would have gained the position through the line of succession, being 3rd in line of succession as Secretary of Defense, just behind Speaker of the House Ryan Huston and the Vice-President, who would coincidentally be Cyrus's Vice-President under his Presidential campaign, Thomas Canes.

Some would regard this as an early start to the Cyrus Administration, as polls suggested that Cyrus would win the October 2020 election.

Just after the announcement was made of the cancellation of the election, President Cyrus invaded Wilden; marking the beginning of the Matt Regime.
