Fire Commissioner

The Fire Commissioner is the head of the Vindex Fire Department and is appointed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The office is dutied with overlooking all operations in the Vindex Fire Department and appointing the EMS Chief and Fire Chief.

History

Origins

The reference of the position "Fire Commissioner" would come along around April 24th 2016, as incumbent Fire Chief __George__ had proclaimed himself as the new Fire Commissioner, separating the Fire Chief position with the new line manager role of Fire Commissioner. At the time, the Vindex Fire Department would be overlooked by the Fire Chief, as this was prior to the introduction of the EMT Captain (now EMS Chief) position. Many were opposed with the introduction of the position, such as high-profile players Attorney General turtlc and Ryanbrock, due to its obsoleteness.
