Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces
Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, more commonly referred to as Supreme Commander, is the highest military rank in the Vindex Nation Armed Forces. The rank has only been conferred once to Phillip Zachary in 2015, as a personal accolade for his command of the Vinish military during the war against the Rebellion. The grade is sometimes speculated to be a six-star general as being senior to the five-star grade of General of the Army, but no six-star insignia was ever officially created and Zachary, the only person to be the Supreme Commander never wore more than five stars. The Supreme Commander enjoyed several privileges not afforded to other generals, included a much higher salary.
There is no higher rank while the next lower ranks are General of the Army and Fleet Admiral for the V.N. Army and the V.N. Navy respectively. There are no equivalent ranks.
History
In 2015, President Christian Silversmith appointed Phillip Zachary for his distinguish in the higher command of the military. Zachary has been commemorated in the Pentagon and Fort Irwin for his special status.
Insignia
No insignia was ever officially specified for the Supreme Commander, who was allowed to define it for himself. Upon being appointed Supreme Commander in 2015, Zachary continued to wear the four silver stars that was displayed in the retired General's helmet.
