History

On September 15, 2021, Doughnut Sprinkles created the Doughnut News Discord server, which began as a joke. News reports would consist of a single sentence summarizing the event in question. After amassing nearly 20 people on the first day, support from the inaugural audience began to build. What Sprinkles intended to be a joke to last a day quickly became a sensation in the community, and began to expand and establish itself as a worthy competitor in the news industry. A few weeks later, Sprinkles would go on to hire a small team to increase the output of content. Over the next few months, Doughnut News would continue to expand and increase its viewership.

After a successful first few months, DN found itself in need of a more defined corporate structure due to its increase in popularity. On December 3, 2021, Vinish politician and then-reporter for Doughnut News A. Tyler was appointed to Vice-President of the company. With this promotion, the DN executive team was officially established. With the teamwork of Sprinkles and Tyler, DN soared to new heights.
