The Grand Principality of Aquitaine is a viceregal state North of San Amaro. It is an island with vassal ties to the Empire of Lech, being the largest of its kind. It consists of five main Provinces including Lutetia, Batavia, Helvetica, Liguria, and Westphalia. It was formerly ruled by His Serene Highness William (William__Winters) the Grand Prince of Aquitaine, Duke of Newport as Grand Prince. It is now currently governed by Viceroy Barclay.

Aquitaine is a state inspired by French culture, customs, and traditions. It is a land of safety, prosperity, and pleasure. A land for people to enjoy themselves with wonderful food and drink, express themselves with their art and fashion, establish themselves in the world of international business, and secure themselves in a beautiful place with great people, great ideals, and the best yet most affordable land.

The National Anthem of the Grand Principality of Aquitaine

Before the formation of the Grand Principality, the Kingdom of Aquitaine was an independent state, ruled by King Louis I. After several months of decline, the Aquitaine was annexed by the Kingdom of Lech as a constituent colony. It was later formed as a Grand Principality in September, 2022 and then reformed under the governance of a Viceroy in December, 2025.

History

The Kingdom of Aquitaine declared independence on October 12, 2020 by King Louis I, from the House of Britannia.

The Kingdom of Aquitaine was absorbed into the Kingdom of Lech as the Duchy of Aquitaine in July 2022 when King Edward became ruler of Lech.

The Duchy of Aquitaine was made into a colony of the Empire of Lech when the Kingdom of Lech became an Empire on July 23, 2022.

On September 3, 2022, The Grand Principality of Aquitaine has been formed with H.S.H William the Grand Prince of Aquitaine (William__Winters) as its sovereign.

On October 28, 2022, The Grand Principality of Aquitaine fought in war alongside Lech against Vindex Nation. It was an Aquitaine and Lech victory.

On March 9, 2023, the Constitution of the Grand Principality of Aquitaine has gone into effect.

On March 26, 2023, The Grand Principality of Aquitaine fought its second war alongside Lech against Vindex Nation. It was another Aquitaine and Lech victory.

On December 30, 2025, Edward I issued the New Years Proclamation, consolidating the title of Grand Prince of Aquitaine under himself while establishing viceroyalties in each colony.

The Legislative body of Government was the Aquitaine Council of Ministers. The Council of Ministers was led by the Prime Minister (The Rt. Hon. Joseph Winters (_CortexVortex_ from Sept. 3, 2022 - October 2025), who was appointed by the Grand Prince of Aquitaine. Every law and proposal was debated in the Aquitaine Council, and upon the passing of laws and proposals, verified by the Prime Minister's Signature, it would be sent to the Grand Prince of Aquitaine to approve or deny it. The Aquitaine Council of Ministers consists of the Minister of Public Safety, Minister of Labor, Minister of Agriculture, Minister of the Treasury, Minister of Interior, and the Prime Minister.

The Award System used by the Grand Principality of Aquitaine
