Before the establishment of CMS, most medical trainings are held in the Seawall hospital and the [[Viridis State University]]. The location of CMS will be in the new H.H.S. Crepe Adams Health Center (Westhedge) instead of the current one (Yasmine Fleury Health Center). Furthermore, The [[Barclay Health Foundation]] has decided to invest $1.5 million into Canes Medical School for its renovations, resource development, training expense etc.

The date of the opening ceremony is still to be confirmed, it will include a introductory of the school facilities, the administrative board and the honorary doctorate degree ceremony. It is believed to be held after the renovation of the building.
