In Lech, the council of Ministers is the primary chamber within the [[The Donovan Executive Office|Donovan Executive Office]]. It is responsible for implementing the policies of the Chancellor and laws passed by [[Bundestag]], as well as managing the country's day-to-day affairs. The council comprises the Chancellor, the head of government, and other high-ranking officials, including the Chief Minister and ministers who head various departments or ministries.

==History==
The Council of Ministers (COM) was established on March 26, 2019, with [[King Maximilian I]] passing the 6th amendment to the first established Lech Constitution. It was there it outlined the duties and titles for the council of ministers with Dr. [[Percy]] A. Fairweather being the first ever appointed minister on June 25, 2019.

==Duties==
The Council of Ministers is responsible for conducting internal and foreign affairs, managing the government administration, ensuring the implementation of statutes, protecting the interests of the State Treasury, adopting a draft State Budget, supervising the implementation of the State Budget, ensuring internal and external security, exercising general control in the field of relations with other states and international organizations, concluding international agreements, exercising general control in the field of national defense, and determining the organization and the manner of its own work.

The Council of Ministers comprises the President of the Council of Ministers (Chancellor) and ministers, with the Vice President of the Council of Ministers (Vice Chancellor) being second in command. The Chancellor is responsible for managing the work of the Council of Ministers, ensuring the implementation of policies, coordinating and controlling the work of members, and exercising supervision of local government.

==Bundestag and Council of Ministers Separation and Powers Act==
Proposed by [[Squid Fuspris]] on July 19th, 2020, the Act defined the powers of the Bundestag and the Council of Ministers.

Under this Act, the Council of Ministers was no longer automatically given a seat in Bundestag, but instead was to have an appointed Chief minister who presented and voted on bills on the council's behalf.

The Kingdom of Lech is thought to have been founded in February 2019 by [[King Maximilian I]], with [[Cracov]] as its capital. The Kingdom officially became a sovereign state on April 12, 2019, under a constitutional monarchy with King Maximilian I as the head of state; he was subsequently crowned on April 15, 2019 at 6:30pm in [[St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church]], Cracov. Lech's European influences were evident from its inception, such as the strong Catholic prescence and Germanic architecture.

Lech's expansion first began on June 15, 2019, when the Kingdom discovered and colonised an island north of Cracov, naming it [[Kielce]] and declaring it an official province. On July 27 2019, the Kingdom of Lech and Vindex Nation overthrow the [[Wilden|Sovereignty of Wilden's]] government, and place [[King John Wellington I]] on the throne of Wilden. Further expansion occured on July 30, 2019 when King Maximilian I purchased land in Southern Wilden from King John Wellington I of Wilden, naming the colony [[Maximiliansburg]]. By August, foundations are placed for a city in Northern Lech, now known as Kingsland. Under King Edward I, the [[Lech Engineer Corps]] completed the [[Bundestautobahn 1]], a 500-long motorway connecting the cities of Cracov and Kingsland on November 19, 2019, the same day as the King's Silver Jubilee.

Lech saw huge infrastructure projects after winning the bid to host the [[2020 Summer Olympics]]. In [[Newport]], a suburb west of the capital, the [[Weathersby Track]] was demolished, and three stadiums were built along with the headquarters of the [[IOC]]. The Games began on April 10, 2020 with the Opening Ceremony and the Closing Ceremony was held at [[White Star Stadium]] on April 22, 2020. On November 1, 2021 [[Squid Fuspris|King Squid I]] ascends to the throne, only three days before the [[First Great Lech-Vindex War]] breaks out. Attempts were made to stage a coup to overthrow the government of Lech. The war ended with the outsting and exiling of Chancellor Hannah and Minister of Defence SirEthan by King Squid I, for attempting to overthrow the monarchy of Lech.

A new figure unknown to the public was made when King Squid I abdicated the throne to King LordPainn I. Many questions were asked about the reasoning behind King Squid I's abdication, and choice for a successor. The King met with President Laff in Vindex Nation, where he promoted isolationist views and discussed foreign invaders. After the [[Vindex Intelligence Agency|VIA]] refused to remove King LordPainn from the terrorist list, war was declared by Lech. The Lech forces held Seawall for a long period of time, until the Vindex forces began using guerilla warfare tactics, leading to a stalemate. The next attack was on [[Naval Base Coronado]] in San Amaro, where Lech proved victorious. This day is celebrated as Vengeance Day in Lech. Many acts of war were committed during this time, such as prisoners of war and endless skirmishes. King LordPainn committed suicide, and his successor King Weber I negociated peace with Vindex Nation, and began rebuilding the Lech Government.

On November 1, 2021 [[King Squid I]] ascends to the throne, only three days before the [[First Great Lech-Vindex War]] breaks out. Attempts were made to stage a coup to overthrow the government of Lech. The war ended with the outsting and exiling of Chancellor Hannah and Minister of Defence SirEthan by King Squid I, for attempting to overthrow the monarchy of Lech.

The Lech forces held Seawall for a long period of time, until the Vindex forces began using guerilla warfare tactics, leading to a stalemate. Many acts of war were committed during this time, such as prisoners of war and endless skirmishes. On November 1, 2021 [[King Squid I]] ascends to the throne, only three days before the [[First Great Lech-Vindex War]] breaks out. Attempts were made to stage a coup to overthrow the government of Lech. The war ended with the outsting and exiling of Chancellor Hannah and Minister of Defence SirEthan by King Squid I, for attempting to overthrow the monarchy of Lech.

After the [[Vindex Intelligence Agency|VIA]] refused to remove King LordPainn from the terrorist list, war was declared by Lech. The Lech forces held Seawall for a long period of time, until the Vindex forces began using guerilla warfare tactics, leading to a stalemate. The next attack was on [[Naval Base Coronado]] in San Amaro, where Lech proved victorious. This day is celebrated as Vengeance Day in Lech. Many acts of war were committed during this time, such as prisoners of war and endless skirmishes. King LordPainn committed suicide, and his successor King Weber I negociated peace with Vindex Nation, and began rebuilding the Lech Government.

The Social Unity Party (Originally the Unity Movement) began as a loose political union of dedicated members of Lech's workforce, founded by [[Michael Aguinaldo]].
Over time it began to morph into a center left Social Democratic party, wishing to rejuvenate Lech's economy by decentralizing business ventures and incentivizing the formation of worker run cooperatives. While the party waned during the slowing of growth. It's international tendencies have flourished, and It has found new ground, being one of the primary powers pushing the building of Lech.

Reforming the party, the Social Unity Party has returned to it's original purpose: to reconcile the Labor Unions of Lech and the Party to create a United Front for the people of Lech for a more democratic society, socially and economically.

The party was originally founded during the early years of Lech under the banner of the [[Social Partisans International]]. However, it was later reestablished by Michael Aguinaldo in January 2022 as a result of a merger between several political parties, including the [[Lech Libertarian Party]], [[Independent Social Democrats]], [[Lech Totalist Party]], and the [[Lech Activist Federation]].

On July 3rd, 2022, the organization was banned by [[King Maximilian I]] who had taken the throne and ordered all government officials to denounce any association with communist, socialist, or social democratic ideologies. However, it was unbanned and re-established just two days later, on July 5th, 2022.

The Social Unity Party (SUP) has played a pivotal role in shaping Lech's political landscape. == Overview ==
The Social Unity Party (Originally the Unity Movement) began as a loose political union of dedicated members of Lech's workforce, founded by [[Michael Aguinaldo]].
Over time it began to morph into a center left Social Democratic party, wishing to rejuvenate Lech's economy by decentralizing business ventures and incentivizing the formation of worker run cooperatives. While the party waned during the slowing of growth. It's international tendencies have flourished, and It has found new ground, being one of the primary powers pushing the building of Lech.

Reforming the party, the Social Unity Party has returned to it's original purpose: to reconcile the Labor Unions of Lech and the Party to create a United Front for the people of Lech for a more democratic society, socially and economically.

However, it was later reestablished by Michael Aguinaldo in January 2022 as a result of a merger between several political parties, including the [[Lech Libertarian Party]], [[Independent Social Democrats]], [[Lech Totalist Party]], and the [[Lech Activist Federation]].

On July 3rd, 2022, the organization was banned by [[King Maximilian I]] who had taken the throne and ordered all government officials to denounce any association with communist, socialist, or social democratic ideologies. However, it was unbanned and re-established just two days later, on July 5th, 2022.

The party still maintains a current majority of 875 out of 1000 seats in the Bundestag. == Controversy ==
The legality of the Social Unity Party (SUP) has been called into question on several occasions due to the fact that many of its members are self-professed communists. This came in conflict to a royal decree II banning political parties associated with communism, Nazism, and fascism are strictly prohibited. This has led to some controversy surrounding the SUP's existence.
SUP has also been further observed to participate in high-profile events like the [[First International Conference of Progressive Ideologies]]. During this conference, the SUP joined with other progressive parties such as the [[Vommunist Party]], [[The Rebels]], and the Communist Party of [[Gregoria]].
